Auction Options, Lights & Policies

The auction has a light system which permits Sellers to describe the condition and/or announcements related to the vehicle being sold. Sellers are responsible for ensuring that their vehicles sell under the correct light.

Buyers are responsible for listening to announcements made by the auctioneer prior to the start of the sale for each vehicle. The Buyer is also responsible to observe and understand what the various lights mean.

GREEN LIGHT: Signals that the vehicle is covered by the auction’s rules for arbitration.

YELLOW LIGHT: Indicates the announcements have qualified the condition and limits arbitration of this vehicle.

RED LIGHT: “AS-IS” signals that the vehicle is not covered by the auction rules for arbitration. Vehicles sold under the Red Light cannot be arbitrated for any reason except frame, odometer, flood, or title discrepancy. Vehicles sold for $1500 and under are automatically AS-IS regardless of light and cannot be arbitrated for any reason.

BLUE LIGHT: “TA-Title Delay” identifies that the title is not present at the time of sale. See NAAA Arbitration Guide for TA – Title Delay policies.

Drivetrain Guarantee - Covers Motor and transmission issues over $800 dollars to fix within 2 hours after the time sale.

AG / Skipco Buyer Confidence Guarantee - Red light cars only. Engine and transmission drivability guarantee until Thursday at 5pm.

Inspections Includes:

Frame and Unibody inspection / Road test for drivability and function

Verify odometer operation / Check 4X4 engagement

Inspect for presence of emission control equipment

Payment Policy

Payments must be arranged before a gate pass can be issued.

Payments must be received by Monday 5pm following the sale.

 

Payments not received by close of business the following Monday will result in $100.00 late fee per car.

 

Payments not received before the next sale with result in buying privileges suspended until payment is received.

Account Balances

We will require all accounts to be paid in full within 30 days of the posted charge. Failing to do so will result in bidding privileges being suspended until the balance has been settled.

 

Storage Charges

Any vehicles not removed from auction property within 14 calendar days of sold date or date last ran will be charged $25 dollars per day storage beginning day 15.

    Other than the following, Skipco uses NAAA Arbitration Guidelines.

    All arbitrations will be charged a $35 dollar inspection fee.

    All arbitration claims must be submitted to the Arbitration office within 2 hours after the time of the sale. Post sales must be ordered within 2 hours after the time of sale and come with a 7 day guarantee.

    • No arbitrations will be accepted if the purchased vehicle is returned with more than 500 additional miles.

    • All Lane C Units are sold “AS-IS No Arbitrations”. If seller puts a guarantees these units they will have to stand behind the unit for 7 days and will not be paid until that time period expires. No PSI’s will be done on these units.

    • Units sold under $1,500 are “AS-IS; no arbitration” including Frame or odometer. Seller announcements supersede this policy.

    • Anything that you can visually see is not subject to arbitration.

    • All salvage and tow lane units (T, S) are NOT arbitrable.

    • Outer rocker damage is not arbitrable.

    • On full frame cars, inner & outer rockers not are NOT subject to arbitration.

    • Non-structural frame items such as 5th wheels, hitches, exhaust mounts & jack dents on pinch rails are not subject to arbitration.

    • Vehicles cannot be arbitrated for windshield or auction catalog information

    • If seller guarantees a highline unit such as: Land Rover, Porsche, Maserati, Bentley, Tesla, Ferrari, Lamborghini they will have to stand behind the unit for 7 days and will not be paid until that time period expires.

    • No arbitrations based on AutoCheck or Carfax information.

    • Arbitrations are based on a $800 threshold, which will be figured using new or used parts and based on a shop rate of $65 per hour.
